Refund policy
Last updated 30 September 2026
The only payment on this site is the yearly member contribution to a Young Tinker Club. A club in India pays Young Tinker Educational Foundation, in rupees, through Razorpay (UPI, card or netbanking). A club anywhere else pays Young Tinker Foundation Inc., a US non-profit, in US dollars, through PayPal.
Contributions are not refunded
The member contribution is a contribution to a non-profit, not the price of a product or a service. Once it has been paid, it is not refunded — it goes straight into running the programme your club belongs to.
Nobody is kept out of a club over money. If paying is difficult, choose I need help with this when you are asked to pay, or tell your club, and it can be covered for you. Please do that before paying rather than after.
Mistakes in a payment
If you were charged twice, or charged more than the contribution you were shown, the extra is a mistake and we return it. Email club@youngtinker.org with the subject “Payment mistake”, and include the payment ID from your receipt (Razorpay or PayPal). It goes back the way it came — to the same UPI account, card, bank account or PayPal account — and usually shows within 5–10 working days.
Payments that did not go through
If Razorpay, PayPal or your bank declined the payment, nothing was taken. If your statement shows a charge you do not recognise from us, write to us before disputing it with your bank — it is quicker for you, and we will look into it.
In India the contribution is charged in rupees, with no currency conversion. Everywhere else it is charged in US dollars: if your card is in another currency, your bank converts it at its own rate and may add its own foreign-transaction fee; those are your bank’s charges, not ours.
